M.A. – Clinical Mental Health Counseling
TFTdx – Diagnostic Thought Field Therapist
Welcome! My name is Michele Ater and I am originally from Ohio, but I have lived in Colorado for over 25 years. I have a B.A. in English from Ohio University and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Denver Colorado. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licenced Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). Also, I am a Reiki Master/Teacher, a certified Reflexologist and a nutritionist. Primarily I work with clients experiencing trauma or PTSD by incorporating nervous system techniques, energy work and cognitive reframing.
First and foremost, I am a mother of two wonderful children and spend my time growing together with them. I have a little spaz chihuahua/corgi mix doggy that loves being my partner!
I’ve always felt my calling is helping others balance their mind, spirit, and body through counseling, energy work and diet. For over 30 years, I have studied and practiced healing modalities. I like to blend spiritual energy work with the clinical therapeutic lens while working with my clients. Learning as much as possible about the nervous system, trauma and healing modalities that heal, not temporarily but completely, are my dedications.
I’m an outdoor enthusiast and love to hike, snowboard, read, and just be with my family. I travel locally and globally for work and fun. I am always eager to learn and grow intellectually and emotionally and to share this knowledge and practice with my clients.
Please contact me with any questions or you may set up an appointment by visiting my contact page. I look forward to meeting and working with you! Thank you!
